Curriculum Vitae

I am a (rising) fourth-year mathematics undergraduate at the University of Illinois studying algebra, topology, and quantum information. Recently, (adjectives...) monoidal categories (e.g., \(\operatorname{Hilb}\), \(\operatorname{Rep}(G)\), \(\operatorname{Bord}_d\)) and \(n\)-categorical quantum things have my attention. This page is where I house my teaching materials, expository writing, various notes, and talks.

I will be working with Graeme Smith at the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo in the summer of 2026, after spending a week at the Atlantic TQFT Spring School at Dalhousie University. I will also make my way over to the Summer School on Homotopy Colimits at the University of Regina.

During the summer of 2025, I became a MathQuantum Fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park. In August, I was at the Summer School on Geometry, hosted by the Utrecht Geometry Centre at Universiteit Utrecht. I have begun keeping an academic travelogue.

I am a signatory of the Leiden Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics. My beliefs are summarized by the following.

The goal of mathematical research is human understanding of mathematics, and so mathematics can only thrive in a community of human mathematicians. Peter Scholze

Notes

I take my notes live in \(\LaTeX\), largely to motivate myself to attend lecture. These, rather reliably, contain mistakes or missing proofs, depending upon my attentiveness on a given day. [Note: I have been a bit busy, so I have yet to clean up the notes for some of the recent courses. These will be uploaded eventually.]
